Pastoral Relationship-building
While passionate for their work, pastors in San Francisco too often speak of their loneliness. Although there may be many churches in close proximity, often within yards, it is common for pastors to remain isolated and disconnected one from the other. Sometimes attributable to ungodly forms of territoriality, more often than not it is simply difficult for pastors to create the space necessary to cultivate friendship with other pastors, let alone consider ways to join arms in ministry.
Of all our work, it is perhaps the highest privilege, and of greatest reward, to be able to help create that space for pastors to meet. We have done this in a variety of ways, ranging from informal lunches to formal convening around theological discourse. Ultimately, our hope is to strengthen the witness of the Church through her unity in both Word and deed.
